Opening Night of our 35th season May 8th
Due to the cold weather, Opening Day this year will take place on Tuesday May 8th. Opening ceremonies will begin at 06:45 pm followed by picture taking and the pitching out of the first shoe.
Mayor Susan Fennell, Councillor’s John Sanderson, Bob Callahan and VIP’s that will attend the ribbon cutting ceremonies to unveil our new courts, were not available on May 1st due to other commitments. This one week delay, will allow us and the Parks Department, time to put the finishing touches to the courts and surrounding area.

Teams to start the 2012 season are now posted on our website, after 3 weeks of play, the executive committee will review each team and make necessary changes to balance the teams. Once balanced that will be your team for the rest of the season.
What makes it difficult is that you never play with the same member two years in a row. Good luck !

On Monday April 9th the work began, to change the look of our horseshoe courts, like you never dreamed of. The plan is to have all of the work completed and ready for play on opening night May 1st.
The only thing that will remain is the stakes, everything else will be gone. The bulldozer will level off the playing field; drainage will go in, concrete walkways from one end of the courts to the other, 4 foot walkways behind the courts covering all of the courts, new stained backboards, faced with rubber, mounted on 21\2 “metal post. The infield will have red brick chips, between the walkways and separating the courts. Between court 7 and 8 will be a planter box extending the full width of the courts, the outside will be landscaped up to the cement walkways.
This will be the first major change since the club was first formed in 1978, with 6 courts, 1 more court was added in 1981 and in 1985, 5 more were added.
This will make our courts the finest, sand courts anywhere, thanks to the City of Brampton Parks Department who takes pride in providing the best facilities, for all the sporting activities in the city. Note: Everything is on schedue
